AP EAMCET/TS EAMCET – Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Tests
The EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted separately by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. AP EAMCET and TS EAMCET are held for admission to various undergraduate programs in Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical fields at the participating universities and colleges in these states.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit:
- For Engineering courses: The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31st of the admission year. There is no upper age limit.
- For Agriculture and Medical courses: The candidate must have completed 17 years and should not exceed 25 years (with a relaxation of 5 years for reserved categories).
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for Engineering, or Biology, Physics, and Chemistry for Agriculture and Medical courses.
- A minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the relevant subjects is required in Class 12.
Application Process
- Registration: Visit the official AP EAMCET (https://sche.ap.gov.in) or TS EAMCET (https://eamcet.tsche.ac.in) website and register for the exam.
- Form Submission: Fill in the personal, academic, and contact details in the online application form.
- Fee Payment: The application fee can be paid online via debit/credit cards, UPI, or net banking.
- Admit Card: Once the application is processed, candidates can download their admit cards from the official websites.

- Physics: 40 questions.
- Chemistry: 40 questions.
- Agriculture/Medical (AP/TS EAMCET):

- Biology: 80 questions.
- Total Marks: 160.
- Duration: 3 hours.
- Marking Scheme:
- +1 mark for each correct answer.
- No negative marking for incorrect answers.
Syllabus
- The syllabus for AP EAMCET and TS EAMCET is based on the Class 12 curriculum, covering the following subjects:
- Physics: Mechanics, Waves, Optics, Electricity, Magnetism.
- Chemistry: Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry.
- Mathematics: Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry.
- Biology (for Agriculture/Medical): Plant Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, Human Anatomy.
Admission Process
- Exam: Candidates must appear for the EAMCET exam.
- Result: After the exam, the exam authorities announce the results and release the rank list.
- Counseling: Based on the ranks obtained in the exam, candidates are called for counseling and seat allotment.
- Final Admission: Candidates are allotted seats in various participating institutions based on their ranks and choice of course/college during counseling.
