SRMJEEE – SRM Institute of Science and Technology Joint Entrance Examination

SRMJEEE is a university-level entrance exam conducted by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) for admission to its undergraduate engineering (B.Tech) programs across campuses in Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Amaravati, and Sonepat.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Must have passed or be appearing for Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology for Biotechnology, Biomedical, and Genetic Engineering).
    • Minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Class 12.
  2. Age Limit:
    • Candidates must have been born between July 1, 2003, and July 1, 1998.

Application Process

  1. Registration: Visit the official website (https://www.srmist.edu.in) and complete the online registration.
  2. Form Submission: Fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  4. Fee Payment: Pay the application fee online using debit/credit cards, net banking, or UPI.
  5. Slot Booking: Book a preferred exam date and time.
  6. Admit Card: Download the admit card after completing the slot booking.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • Sections:
    • Physics (35 questions).
    • Chemistry (35 questions).
    • Mathematics/Biology (40 questions).
    • English (5 questions).
    • Aptitude (10 questions).
  • Total Questions: 125.
  • Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answers, no negative marking.
  • Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.

  1. Physics: Electrostatics, Mechanics, Electromagnetic Induction, Optics, Modern Physics, and more.
  2. Chemistry: Organic Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Coordination Chemistry, and Chemical Kinetics.
  3. Mathematics: Sets, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability, and Statistics.
  4. Biology (for specific courses): Human Physiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, and Microbiology.
  5. English: Grammar, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension.
  6. Aptitude: Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Data Interpretation.

Admission Process

  1. Appear for SRMJEEE and secure a rank.
  2. Participate in SRM counseling by filling in preferences.
  3. Seat allocation is based on rank, preferences, and seat availability.
  4. Complete the admission process by submitting documents and paying fees.
